Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 01 - It Begins0:58:1896kbps4410040.1 MB
In the first ever BoHoPo, Gill and Ross sit on a couch, talk about horror films (obviously) and go on some random tangents. Join us as we venture into the world of podcasts, lose our way, find our way again, mistake My Bloody Valentine 3D for Friday the 13th (2009) and then forget to record the last 30 minutes in which we finally acted like Horror film podcasters. Subscribe and get in touch with us on Twitter, if you dare. Mwahahaha. Mwah. X

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 02 - The Descent & Stephen King1:21:1596kbps4410055.89 MB
In the second episode of Gill & Roscoe's poorly monickered BoHoPo, Gill confuses William Gaunt ("No Place Like Home") with Leland Gaunt ("Needful Things"), Roscoe inexplicably mispronounces "portmanteau", and we discuss Neil Marshall's "The Descent". For our theme this week, we discuss a selection of movies adapted from the works of Stephen King, including "The Langoliers", "Silver Bullet", "The Mist" and "Thinner". Subscribe and say hello on Twitter (@BodaciousHorror) or Facebook (search for Gill & Roscoe's Bodacious Horror Podcast). Oh, and we mention Robocop again for no reason.

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 03 - Modern Hammer Horrors1:25:4596kbps4410058.99 MB
Far too sensible for their own good, Gill & Roscoe tackle no less than 6 movies - with limited degrees of success. This week's theme is the output of the recently revived Hammer Films - including discussion of "Beyond the Rave" (2008), "Let Me In" (2010), "The Resident" (2011), "Wake Wood" (2011) and "The Woman in Black" (2012). We also discuss "Dredd 3D" and forget to review a lovely pear cider, available on special from Asda. Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 04 - Bad Taste & New French Extremity1:14:4096kbps4410051.4 MB
In this week's BoHoPo, Gill & Roscoe talk Peter Jackson's debut monsterpiece, "Bad Taste" (1988) and a selection of movies from the New French Extremity, including "Ils/Them" (2006), "Haute Tension/Switchblade Romance" (2003), "Vinyan" (2008), "Horde" (2009) and "Martyrs" (2008). Gill watched about 100 movies, Roscoe read Asterix the Gaul. Or something. Whatevs. It all gets a bit confusing and spoileriffic when we talk "High Tension". If you want to swerve spoilers, skip from 48:14 to 1:03:14. Follow us on Twitter (@BodaciousHorror) or search for Gill & Roscoe's Bodacious Horror Podcast on Facebook...

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 05 - HP Lovecraft Special (featuring Ross Gilchrist)1:47:0596kbps4410073.73 MB
In our big-budget spectacular fifth episode (we brought pizza and wine), we discuss adaptations of the work of HP Lovecraft, including "Re-Animator" (1985), "Bride of Re-Animator" (1990), "From Beyond" (1986), "Necronomicon" (1993), "Castle Freak" (1995), "Cthulhu" (2007), "Dagon" (2001), "Call of Cthulhu" (2005) and "In the Mouth of Madness" (1994). We formally ban the discussion of 'the Austrian film', mispronounce everything and accidentally summon the spirit of Pan. One for the archives? You betcha. Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 06 - Ti West and Bill Palmer double features, and Chaw1:44:5096kbps4410072.16 MB
Episode 6 of BoHoPo is an all out lovefest, as your horror-hack hosts Gill and Roscoe weep tears of joy over a Ti West double feature of "House of the Devil" (2009) and "The Innkeepers" (2011), gush over new director Bill Palmer's short films "Vicki" (2012) and "The Living Want Me Dead" (2010), and fall head over heels in love with Korean creature feature "CHAW" (2009). Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 07 - A 'Sinister' Anything Goes Netflix Bonanza1:39:4896kbps4410068.69 MB
This week, Gill & Roscoe valiantly avoid taking the podcast to dark, dark places by not talking about our happy, awesome lives. We instead take on Ethan Hawke's Halloween cash cow "Sinister" (2012), and a host of Netflix lovelies, including "Killer Klowns from Outer Space" (1988), "Tokyo Gore Police" (2008), "Evil Aliens" (2005) and "Pontypool" (2008). The merits of Emily Booth are weighed against those of Glasgow cult legend Steph from "Vids", and we mostly refrain from slandering anyone (mostly). If you, or someone close to you, has been affected by any of the issues in this broadcast please send us some comments on the Facebook group, follow us on Twitter (@BodaciousHorror) or if you're so inclined you can leave us a comment and rating on the iTunes.

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 08 - Xenomorph Awareness Week2:07:0596kbps4410087.37 MB
This week's Bodacious Horror Podcast celebrates our proud Elephantine heritage, with a salute to our noble Space Jockey ancestors and our gracious Alien overlords. In recognition of Xenomorph Awareness Week we discuss "Alien" (1979), "Aliens" (1986) and "Prometheus" (2012). Roscoe struggles to stay awake, while Gill tries not to punch him as he tells tales from far-off lands and compares "Prometheus" to a nonsense rhyme. 2nd upload, correcting audio issue. Also, Gill was wrong yet again and apologises. The butcher can ONLY kill Beavers. We were both tired and emotional, and we love you all.

This week your brave heroes, Gill & Roscoe, journey through some of the films on offer at a discount retail store near you. Will they be bad? Will they be great? The only thing that's for sure, all of them cost one of your earth pounds. We discuss the historical Shadow of the Vampire (2000), the adult themed One-Eyed Monster (2008), Thai shocker Meat Grinder (2009) and Russian fantasy masterpiece Night Watch (2004). Will Gill & Roscoe still be tired and emotional? You'll have to listen to find out. This week's landmark 10th episode takes us backs to the root of the genre. We discuss the big three Universal monsters, "Dracula (1931)", "Frankenstein (1931)" and "The Wolf Man (1941)" as well their swansong picture "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948)". In a new segment Gill & Roscoe attempt to summon the undead spirit of "The Uncanny" Boris Karloff, who may or may not turn up with some beer, a fishing rod and some chicken. Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 11 - Barking Mad Lycanthropedic Week1:42:2096kbps4410070.4 MB
This week your amiable hosts get all Lycanthropic, with discussions of "The Howling" (1981), "An American Werewolf In London" (1981) and "Dog Soldiers" (2002). Gill fills us in on his recent visit to the 1990s, whilst Roscoe gets opinionated about the slipping standards of regional terrestrial broadcasting. We also discuss Gav Chuckie Steel's indie horror epic "The Shadow of Death" and get depressed about the overly paced trailer for "World War Z". Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 12 - Lucio Fulci's 'Gates of Hell' Trilogy1:53:3196kbps4410078.07 MB
This week Gill & Roscoe venture into the deranged mind of the Italian master of the macabre Lucio Fulci. The Gates of Hell have been kicked open, and as prophesied in the Book of Enoch the BoHoPo boys try to wrap their heads around the insane plots of "City of the Living Dead" (1980), "The Beyond" (1981) and "The House by the Cemetery" (1981). It's all very confusing but we're fairly sure we enjoyed the films. We also discussed the excellent Argentinian short "Deus Irae" (2010). This week, Gill & Roscoe attempt to turn in their first ever PG-13 episode as they discuss "Ghostbusters" (1984), "Gremlins" (1984) and "Paranorman" (2012). Will it be a triumph or a Thanksgiving turkey? We (kind of) talk about Jamie D. Jenkins' short "Secret Shopper" (2012), but end up talking about Gill's sub-par performance as a pizza monkey. Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 14 - Modern Grindhouse Sextravaganza2:04:2496kbps4410085.54 MB
This week, the Bodacious Horror Podcast gets sleazy with an episode dedicated to modern takes on the Grindhouse experience. We discuss "Nude Nuns With Big Guns" (2010), "Machete" (2010) and "Grindhouse" (2007). We get waylaid along the way and talk Astron-6's "Lazer Ghosts 2: Return to Laser Cove", drop some names and act like the kind of arrogant, bloated media types we're fast becoming. If you're having problems with your machine gun leg or find that your life has a 'missing reel' you can contact us on Twitter at @Bodacioushorror and @gillrockatansky, or find us on Facebook by searching for Gill & Roscoe's Bodacious Horror Podcast.

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 15 - Tromasterpiece Theatre2:02:2696kbps4410084.21 MB
This week Gill & Roscoe get Tromatized! Between us we watched a Herculean 20 movies from the Troma oeuvre including "Troma's War" (1988), "Tromeo & Juliet" (1997), "Terror Firmer" (1999), "Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead" (2006) and "Father's Day" (2011). Along the way we also discuss Nymphoid Barbarians, the music of Smokey Miles AKA Count Smokula, and children's faces indelibly covered in green ink. Gill gives us his best impression of Bane from Batman 3, and another of Roscoe's Downfall-like rants at Gill gets erased from history forever. This week Gill and Roscoe go double-Dickens (...steady...) for the first of our Xmassacre Specials. We discuss a feast of festive frighteners including "A Ghost Story for Christmas: the Signal-man" (1976), "Black Christmas" (1974) and "Scrooge" (1951). We conclude with "Silent Night Deadly Night" (1984) and it's eyebrow- raising (and some might say stroke-inducingly bad) sequel "Silent Night Deadly Night Part 2" (1987). Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 18 - Happy Horrormanay1:28:3196kbps4410061.18 MB
This week the Bodacious Horror Podcast goes off the rails. We discuss TV detective shows (including the infamous Quincy punk rock episode), our favourite (abysmal) comedy show Two Broke Girls and the KLF. We also spend (some) time talking about some rotten movies including one about a vampire-angel, one about a chef who turns out to be the killer and one about a New Wave tv show or some shit. We also saw "Christine" (1983) but I don't think we talked about it. If you're still subscribed after this episode, congratulations - you've passed the test! Drop us a message on Twitter at @Bodaci

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 19 - The Thing of the Thing1:40:2496kbps4410069.32 MB
In this episode of Gill & Roscoe's thing of the thing, your hapless hosts take on the three cinematic treatments of John W. Campbell Jr's "Who Goes There" - namely "The Thing from Another World" (1957), "The Thing" (1982) and "The Thing" (2011). In-keeping with the "Thing" theme we also discuss the vaguely racist "The Thing with Two Heads" (1972) as well as a number of other typically unrelated 'things' including Star Wars fan-edits, Seasonal Affective Disorder(Gill)/Sexy Podcasters(Roscoe) and the dreadful(Roscoe)/brilliant(Gill) MOR(Roscoe)/Inspiring(Gill) jazz-metal of Mike Patton. No hamsters were harmed in the making of this podcast, but one toilet roll tube was irreparably damaged.

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 20 - An Evening With...2:20:1296kbps4410096.39 MB
In this episode of Gill & Roscoe's Bodacious Horror Podcast, Roscoe forgot to write the description - which he usually does. That means Gill has written this one, and doesn't want to give too much away. We talk about short movie "Dysmorphia" (2012), "Railway Children" (2012), "Mr. Bricks: A Heavy Metal Murder Musical" and "American Mary" (2012). We do our first ever interview via the internet, with Travis Campbell and Justin Martell from Troma. We ramble about stuff, as usual, and we stayed awake way past our bedtime. Oh yeah, we also kick off with a surprise guest. I wonder who that could be, can you guess?

This week, Gill and Roscoe get "the key to the door" as the show turns 21... It's also the hairy one's 36th birthday and to celebrate we're joined by Ross Gilchrist and Mark McKeown to discuss horror musicals including "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" (1975), "The Phantom of the Paradise" (1974) and "Repo! The Genetic Opera" (2008) (some of which were, in truth, pretty horrific anyway). If you'd like to sing our praises, you can leave a review on iTunes, or contact us on Twitter @BodaciousHorror and @GillRockatansky. This week, Gill and Roscoe go 'meta' as the kids say, and discuss a few films which have extra layers to them. We get all 'Yo Dawg! I heard you like horror movies, so I put a horror movie in your horror movie' with "Popcorn" (1991), visit the alternate reality of mockumentary "Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon" (2006) and spoiler the heck out of "The Cabin in the Woods" (2011) from 00:49:00 until 01:11:34. We eat some pizza and launch our first ever competition, where you could win a copy of "American Mary" (2012) signed by the Soska sisters. Also, Gill declares war on a country - but you'll have to listen to find out which one.

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 23 - Valentine's Week Messacre1:44:3296kbps4410071.89 MB
This week, and just in time for Valentine's, Gill and Roscoe discuss movies involving tainted love with femme fatales in the lead role, including "Deadgirl" (2008), "Excision" (2012) and "The Loved Ones" (2009). Our own increasing difficulties maintaining relationships with the world are over-shared, before potentially explaining our circumstances by discussing "The Aristocrats" joke, an improper use of jam and two people called Davie Dodds who have absolutely nothing to do with anything. Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 24 - A J-Date with Evil1:44:0496kbps4410071.56 MB
In this week's Bodacious Horror Podcast, Gill and Roscoe find themselves out of their depth and culture shocked in the land of the rising sun. We discuss a selection of movies suggested by some of our most loyal (and persistent) listeners including "Ultimate Versus" (2004), "Audition" (1999) and "Deathnote" (2006). As ever, discussions head off-road pretty quickly, taking in Thundercats action figures, dancing with a dog to Hawkwind and animal print fleeces. Throughout the show we'll also be playing the entries for our "America Mary" competition, and we'll announce the winner at the end of the show...

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 25 - Horror Icons #1: Christopher Lee1:52:4296kbps4410077.69 MB
This week Gill & Roscoe are joined by our dear friend Ross Gilchrist to celebrate our 25th episode and discuss the work of horror icon, Christopher Lee. We've carefully selected some of the finest pictures from Lee's vast filmography (or more accurately, we've watched any old nonsense we could easily lay our hands on from our collections), including "The Blood of Fu Manchu" (1968), "Dracula Has Risen from the Grave" (1968), "The Scars of Dracula" (1970), "The Devil Rides Out" (1968) and "The Wicker Man" (1973). Gill watched an astonishing 24 hours of Christopher Lee-related content this week, so I think you all know who your "Phone A Friend"'s going to be should Chris Tarrant ever hit you with a Hammer question. Along the way we also discuss current horror hit "Mama", comic books, video games and, unsurprisingly, a little bit of Lovecraft. If all of that wasn't exciting enough, we also received a lovely voicemail from indie-horror icon, Daytime Emmy winner and star of the internet sensation "Take This Lollipop" Bill Oberst Jr ("Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies", "Nude Nuns with Big Guns", "Excision")!

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 26 - Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Michael1:56:0596kbps4410080.28 MB
This week, Gill and Roscoe make good on their threats and discuss the "unholy trinity" of the slasher era - Freddy, Jason and Michael. Being dedicated contrarians we focus not on the most obvious (i.e. actually good) entries in the series, but instead wander from the path to discuss their most offbeat offerings, including "Halloween V: The Revenge of Michael Myers" (1989), "Jason Lives" (1986), "A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge" (1985) and "Freddy vs Jason" (2003). This week, Gill and Roscoe reflect on Chan-wook Park's magnificent "Stoker" (2013), as well as two selections from The Netflix, "The Traveler" (2010) and "Heartless" (2010). We also reveal our forthcoming very special guests, and schmooze like the bloated media parasites we once so despised and have now become. Gill has been drinking absinthe and it shows. Roscoe has been drinking coffee and he's slightly less miserable than normal. Only slightly. Random tangents are many and varied as always, and the boundaries of taste and decency are once again abused and left for dead. On this week's Bodacious Horror Podcast, Gill & Roscoe are joined by a very special guest, the comedian and broadcaster Robin Ince. Backstage at his sold out show at Glasgow's The Stand comedy club, Gill & Roscoe chat to Robin about the Halloween series, Morrissey and being mates with the keyboard player from D:Ream. Amongst all that we somehow manage to find the time to discuss the work of Val Lewton, particularly "Cat People" (1942), as well as the exploitation classic "The Baby" (1972). As if that wasn't enough we also discuss "Maniac" (2013) with our friend Rick from the band Dressed Like Wolves.

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 29 - Alice, What's the Matter?2:08:5996kbps4410088.88 MB
On this week's Bodacious Horror Podcast, Gill and Roscoe are joined by Welsh video game enthusiast, evil twin and genuine nerd Thomas Hughes to discuss the most nightmarish horrors ever committed to pixel, their adaptations to the big screen and Hollywood's subsequent influence on the survival horror genre. We focus on "Alone In the Dark" (2005), "Silent Hill" (2006) and "Resident Evil" (2002) with reference to the sequels, parallels with the original games and the influences at play for both game and movie. This may be our most fact-heavy episode ever, thanks primarily to the Rocky-esque training Thomas put himself through in preparation for this episode. You lucky people. Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 30 - Roscoechella1:46:1796kbps4410073.43 MB
This week, things get messy as Roscoe celebrates the dawn of his fourth decade in the privacy of the internet. We talk about the frankly atrocious but highly addictive emo band Falling In Reverse, coffee-makers and try to avoid getting too political. The fourth wall is, as ever, turned into a pile of rubble as your amiable hosts get progressively merrier as the evening wears on. As it's his birthday, we discussed three of Roscoe's recent favourites, namely "Dark and Stormy Night" (2009), "Monster Brawl" (2011) and "Sightseers" (2013). Gill was not so taken by most of these, but we had fun, and we hope you will too.

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 31 - Oh So Tyred1:30:1896kbps4410062.38 MB
This week's Bodacious Horror sees Gill and Roscoe taking their metaphorical foot off the metaphorical gas pedal and slipping quietly into metaphorical slow lane. We discuss transport-themed horror including "Rubber" (2010), "Creep Van" (2012) and "Super Hybrid" (2011). We also talked about our two favourite entries in the CineCoup competition "Gillian's Just Right" and "Wolf Cop". With The Man on Gill's back and a week of train journeys and conferences for Mr Vee, this episode was never going to be a drunken lolfest. Our little show may vary in quality week on week, but so does life, my friends. Stick some smooth jazz over the back of it, and enjoy it for what it is. Normal service will be resumed next week.

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 32 - Never too late to be a hero 1:41:5596kbps4410070.38 MB
This week, Gill & Roscoe are joined by friend of the show and renowned sexologist/film critic Jonathon Jonathon Junior to discuss some lost classics of the VHS era, including "The Eliminators" (1986), "Project Shadowchaser" (1992) and "Ninja Terminator"(1985). We also finally discuss the obscure high-brow critique of privatisation and ghettoization that is "Robocop" (1987), and wax nonsensical about how utterly awesome Astron-6's "Manborg" (2011) and "Biocop" (2012) actually are. Chaos naturally ensues, as Jonathon tells us a pack of lies, we give props to 1990s sitcom "Blossom" and some names are most definitely dropped. All characters (and presenters) appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 33 - Bill Oberst Jr. Special1:34:3496kbps4410065.23 MB
On this week's very special episode of the Bodacious Horror Podcast, Gill and Roscoe are joined by award-winning actor Bill Oberst Jr. for a fun and relaxed chat about his career, the inspiration behind his work and his plans for the future. We discuss a number of Bill's movies including "Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies" (2012), "The Haunting in Salem" (2011), "Scary or Die" (2012), "Excision" (2012), "Nude Nuns with Big Guns" (2010), as well as a few short films including "Assassins" (2011) and "The Beast" (2012). Tangents are plentiful, touching on Star Trek, Newscasters and Simon Pegg's Chocolate beanie but we're glad to say that we weren't solely responsible this time! Sit back and enjoy a chilled out and fun conversation with a horror legend in the making. We had a blast and we hope you will too.

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 34 - Evolutionary Horror (feat Frank Dello Stritto)2:11:4196kbps4410090.81 MB
This week, Gill and Roscoe are joined by horror historian and writer Frank J. Dello Stritto, co-author of "Vampire over London: Bela Lugosi in Britain". Frank joins us to discuss Darwin's theory of evolution as presented in horror, with discussion of "Murders in the Rue Morgue" (1932), "Island of Lost Souls" (1932), "The Abominable Snowman" (1957) and "The Time Machine" (1960). Along the way, Frank tells us about his time researching "Vampire over London" in the UK, his articles for Monster Bash magazine and talks about his most recent book "A Quaint and Curious Volume of Forgotten Lore". Bookending the interview, Gill and Roscoe discuss "Iron Man 3" (2013), "Evil Dead" (2013) and Ed Brubaker & Sean Phillips's recent Lovecraft-inspired noir comic, "Fatale". This is a chaotic one, creeps, so sit back and enjoy the ride.

On this week's Bodacious Horror Podcast, Gill & Roscoe are joined by very special guest, Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein of the legendary horror punk band The Misfits. Doyle discusses his formative years as a monster kid, being back on the road with Glenn Danzig, the forthcoming Danzig Legacy TV special and the new DOYLE album "Abominator"! As if that wasn't enough, we also talk about horror films dealing with witchcraft, including "Horror Hotel" (1960) (AKA "City of the dead"), "Witchfinder General" (1968) (AKA "The Conqueror Worm") and "Lords of Salem" (2013). We tried to contain our fiendish excitement on this one, but we failed, creeps. As ever, 'all hell breaks loose', and we end up talking about some pretty random stuff with the big guy. Anyway, enjoy, share and subscribe if you dig it.

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 36 - Harryhausen of the Wolfman1:42:5496kbps4410071.01 MB
In this week's inappropriately titled and much-delayed episode of the Bodacious Horror Podcast, your irredeemable hosts Gill & Roscoe meet once again to discuss the fantastic works and worlds of Ray Harryhausen. We talk about Harryhausen's talent, influence and legacy, and pay sincere tribute to one of the true greats in the history of horror, fantasy and sci-fi. We discuss a range of Harryhausen classics, but we talk in most detail about "It Came from Beneath the Sea" (1955), "Jason and the Argonauts" (1963) and "Clash of the Titans" (1981). Gill shows off his impressive knowledge of ancient Greek mythology, while Roscoe silently weeps at the thought of losing gore-hungry listeners. In a vain effort to retain some of you bloodhounds, we also discussed the fine monster mash throwback "House of the Wolfman" (2009). As ever, if you enjoy what we're doing, share it with your friends or leave us a review on iTunes if you've got time on your hands.

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 37 - Heroes, Villains and Madmen1:29:3096kbps4410062.03 MB
This week’s episode of the Bodacious Horror Podcast is short but sweet, as Roscoe was ill and Gill has been kept under house arrest by the new series of “Arrested Development” on Netflix. We watched two very different movies this week, namely the anti-horror hit of last Summer, “Berberian Sound Studio” (2012) and Jason Trost’s “All Superheroes Must Die” (2013) AKA “Vs”. We’re also joined by Lowell Dean, the writer and director of “Wolf Cop”, a high-concept project out of Canada and currently in the running for a $1million development deal in the Cinecoup competition. Lowell talks to us about horror, the making of the “Wolf Cop” trailer and his love of superheroes. As a side note, if you listen closely during this segment, you can hear a steady thudding that some have speculated may be one of “Wolf Cop”’s competitors in a trunk… As ever, if you enjoy the show share us with your nearest and dearest and leave us a nice review on iTunes if you’re feeling charitable.

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 38 - I've Seen (Found) Footage (feat Shane Bitterling)1:44:1896kbps4410071.92 MB
This week's episode of Gill & Roscoe's Bodacious Horror Podcast sees your hosts turning their attention towards the "found footage" genre for the first of two weeks looking at this ever-controversial strain of horror cinema. We talk about a number of examples of the genre, but focus our attention on the magnificent "[Rec]" (2007), and the pre-Blair Witch forest-based frightener, "The Last Broadcast" (1998). We're also joined this week by Shane Bitterling, the writer of Full Moon Features' latest release, "Reel Evil" (2012). Shane talks about his work with Full Moon (including writing the 10th movie in the "Puppetmaster" series "Puppetmaster X: Axis Rising"), his experiences on the set of "Reel Evil" and his plans for the future. As ever, discussion is wild and bizarre, discussing publicly self-gratifying actresses, Jim Tavaré's comedy work and that time Michael Parkinson got possessed by a demon on live TV.

Gill Rockatansky & Roscoe Vacant / Bodacious Horror: Episode 39 - I've Seen (Found) Footage Too1:45:4496kbps4410072.85 MB
In the second Bodacious Horror episode focusing on the "found footage" genre, Gill & Roscoe temporarily ditch Skype, and return to their roots to record in the luxurious surroundings of Rockatansky Towers. They talk about the Toxic Avenger, Chris O'Dowd and Sleepwalking Cannibals, before getting down to the nitty gritty. And by God it's gritty this week folks. Starting off light with "Rec 2" (2009) and "The Last Exorcism" (2010), things take a turn for the worst when we get into "Cannibal Holocaust" (1980) and "The Poughkeepsie Tapes" (2007), a section in which Roscoe does his best Mary Whitehouse and Billy Graham impressions while Gill comes across like the Marquis de Sade crossed with Anton LaVey. Either way, neither are particularly sure whether to ban this filth or give it an Oscar.

In this week's Bodacious Horror Podcast, Gill & Roscoe attempt to cheer themselves up (after the frankly harrowing movies of the previous 2 weeks) with a zany and loosey goosey episode focusing on the theme of weddings! Fans of terrible music will swoon over our review of "The Bride" (1985) featuring tantric lovegod Sting, while fans of terrible films will be enraptured by our discussion of "The Newlydeads" (1987). Fans of terrible podcasting etiquette will also be impressed to hear us playing "Injustice: Gods Among Us" while discussing that one - grounds for divorce if ever I heard it. In our main feature, we finally seal the deal with the [Rec] trilogy, reviewing Paco Plaza's "[Rec] Genesis" (2012). Along the way Gill gives us his verdict on Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" (2013), Roscoe talks about meeting the Evil Elvis himself, while a few incredibly subtle hints are dropped about the identity of next week's very special guest.

On this week's very special episode of the Bodacious Horror Podcast, Gill and Roscoe are joined by professional wrestler, artist, author and the undisputed Warlord of Weird, Sinn Bodhi (formerly Kizarny of the WWE). Sinn joins your fearless hosts to explore the darker side of circuses and sideshows, talking about his time as a carnival performer, wrestling for both TNA and WWE, comic books and much, much more! Along the way we talk about a few films that put the 'evil' into carnival, including "Something Wicked This Way Comes" (1983), "Freaks" (1931) and "The Funhouse" (1981). Gill also gives his verdict on "Man of Steel" and Roscoe dons his 3D glasses to talk "Night of the Living Dead 3D" and "Night of the Living Dead: Re-Animation".

This week, Gill & Roscoe are joined by the writer and director of the new documentary "Phantom of the Opera: Unmasking the Masterpiece" (2013), Cortlandt Hull. A veteran collector and curator of the Witch's Dungeon Classic Movie Museum in Bristol, CT, Cortlandt has more anecdotes than we've had hot dinners. And we've had a few. Cortlandt regales us with first and second hand stories about Henry Hull, Lon Chaney Sr, Vincent Price, Carla Laemmle, Tom Savini, Ron Chaney, Josephine Hull, Boris Karloff, Mark Hamill and many, many more. This episode was an absolute joy to record and we hope you guys enjoy listening to it as much as we did making it. This week, Gill & Roscoe arrive fashionably late to the party in discussing Ben Wheatley's darkly comedic masterpiece "A Field In England" (2013). While we're sorry for being tardy, we bring in tow an extra special gift that we're sure you'll agree was worth the wait - an interview with Richard Glover (who portrayed 'Friend' in "A Field in England" and 'Martin' in Wheatley's "Sightseers" (2012)). As if that wasn't enough, we offer a review of the Brad Pitt epic "World War Z" (2013) and the Uwe Boll produced epic fail "Apocalypse Z" (previously known as "Zombie Massacre"). Along the way we also dwell a little too long on the homoeroticism of cage fighting, Ewan McGregor impressions and the joy of zeds... Also, Gill gives his verdict on Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel".

In this week's obscenely titled Bodacious Horror Podcast, your friendly neighbourhood automatons Gill & Roscoe get glitchy discussing movies involving robots. So robots aren't particularly horrific. Whatchagonna do? Nevertheless we've got some "horrors" for your listening pleasure this week, folks. There's "Robotropolis"(2011) - a low budget sci-fi action adventure romp, "Atlantic Rim" (2013) from your friends at The Asylum and Guillermo Del Toro's high concept summer blockbuster "Pacific Rim" (2013). We also discuss Australian border protection policy, Worzel Gummidge and our recent appearance on The Phantom Erik's "100 Years of Horror" talking about "The Horror of Dracula" (1958).

We also take time out from such weighty matters to discuss the big questions of our time, including "Can a sharkologist be a doctor?", "What's with people having two haircuts?" and "Are dolphins the arseholes of the sea?". The relative merits of the Atkins and Benkins diets are assessed in agonising detail, while we discover "The Phantom Menace" is still upsetting your amiable hosts almost 15 years on.

On this week's most Bodacious of horror podcasts, your inefficacious anchors Gill and Roscoe are joined by not one but two very special guests! First up, we talk to Matthias Hoene, the director of the excellent horror comedy "Cockneys vs Zombies" (2012) (featuring a stellar cast of British players, including Alan Ford, Honor Blackman, Michelle Ryan and Richard Briers). Matthias tells us about his experiences of living in East London and how the unique cockney mindset influenced this most original of fright flick. Next, we have an interview with Trevor Juenger, who presents us with an altogether different take on the genre, in the form of his psychological arthouse feature, "Coyote" (2013), starring BoHoPo and fan favourite, Bill Oberst Jr. Trevor chats to us about his particular vision for 21st Century cinema, expressed through both his work and his DIY KINO manifesto, his influences and creative processes.

On this week's Bodacious Horror podcast, things are getting intense, as your petrified presenters prepare to take on two fright flicks that pertain to be 'based on a true story'. Join Gill and Roscoe as they discuss the infamous "Amityville Horror" (1979) and the recent blockbusting James Wan joint "The Conjuring" (2013). Sticking with the theme of possessive spectres and this time 'based on a good story', we also take time to salute legendary horror and b-movie icon Karen Black by discussing "Burnt Offerings" (1976). All opinions expressed throughout the show are exactly that - opinions - and this podcast is presented purely for entertainment purposes only. Gill also gives his verdict on "Man of Steel".

Gill and Roscoe return refreshed from a 6 week hiatus with a hastily sellotaped together show, and bearing the gifts of excellent banter, obscure references and terrible impressions! Don't call it a comeback - we've been here for years! Well, one year, to be precise, and as such it's also our belated one year anniversary show, featuring some nice messages from friends near and far! We also find the time to discuss some films, including the cult gore classic "Highlander" (1986), the notorious slasher "Brazil" (1985) and the tame-by-comparison "Event Horizon" (1997). It's our birthday, we're watching what we want. Thanks to all for sticking with us and keeping it lit during our hiatus, more good things to come.

We're also joined by not one, but two special guests in Jamie Jenkins from Devour The Podcast and Duncan McLeish from The Podcast Under The Stairs. Tangents are plentiful, and while we discuss "Child's Play", "Friday 13th" and "Nightmare" franchises, we also end up talking about Lovely Gilly's ghost-dad, Del Shannon and Grange Hill spin-off "Tuckers Luck". J.T. will be sharing anecdotes about his career, his influences and his forthcoming projects, as well as discussing 2 of his most recent works - "The Burrowers" (2008) and "Hellbenders 3D" (2013) - starring the Kurgan himself, Mr. Clancy Brown. In-keeping with the theme, we'll also be discussing Paul Verhoeven's "Starship Troopers" (1997) and it's socio-political ramifications. Yeah. As if that wasn't enough, Roscoe will regale us with tales from his trip to the US of A, including a visit to The Witch's Dungeon Classic Movie Museum in Bristol CT and the US premiere of Troma's "Return to Nuke 'Em High Vol 1". On this week's most Bodacious of Horror Podcasts, your world weary hosts are homeward bound, with Roscoe returning to the UK after a spell in the colonies, and Gill returning to Knightswood after a morning in Kinning Park. In recognition of this admittedly sketchy provocation for patriotism, our focus turns to this sceptred isle, with 3 science fiction shockers sprung from the fertile pastures of this green and pleasant land. First up we have the UK and Ireland's own Godzilla clone "Gorgo" (1961), followed swiftly by England's answer to Alien Resurrection, "Xtro" (1983), and closing out with the alcohol-themed horror comedy "Grabbers" (2013). This week's very special episode of the Bodacious Horror Podcast sees your clueless comperes catapulted into chronological chaos, as Gill's Nicholas Lyndhurst-inspired meddlings with the fabric of space and time kickstart a chain of events which unwittingly spark World War 3. Faster than you can say "jump the shark", they hatch a plot so convoluted that even JJ Abrams says it isn't a sustainable premise for a series. In an effort to repair the damage to the timeline caused by their foolish actions, Gill & Roscoe present a special episode dedicated to the most celebrated time traveller of them all, The Doctor! Along the way, your erudite emissaries discuss "The Three Doctors" (1972), "The Five Doctors" (1983), "Remembrance of the Daleks" (1988), "Dimensions in Time" (1993), "Doctor Who: The Movie" (1996), "The Curse of Fatal Death" (1999), "Time Crash" (2007), "Night of the Doctor" (2013) and "Day of the Doctor" (2013). Gill and Roscoe are back, rested, recuperated and ready to usher in another year of horror-hipsterisms for the frighteningly unfashionable. Join your hapless hosts as they once again brave the racks of Europe's Number One Single Price Retailer to bring you two more Poundland pulse-racers, "KFZ: Kentucky Fried Zombies" AKA "Die-Ner (Get It)" (2009) and "Some Guy Who Kills People" (2012). As if that wasn't enough, we're once again delighted to be joined by our dear friend and disrespected colleague, Bodacious Horror's Genuine Nerd, Thomas Hughes. Like the Ghost of Christmas Past, Thomas brings with him "Santa's Slay" (2005), starring WCW legend Bill Goldberg, and like old Ebeneezer, Gill and Roscoe vow to change their ways for good. As well as in-depth discussion of the Tod Browning/Bela Lugosi classic, we also look in detail at the myriad of special features on the Blu Ray. As this is part of our Universal Monsters Blu Ray boxed set review, we will be looking in depth at not only the film and its key themes, but also the supplemental/supplementary features from the set. Additionally, we discussed "Flatliners" (1991), a movie made 60 years later but where the tensions between scientific progress and the divine are equally keenly felt. Along the way we make the usual number of cutting-edge cultural references to TV shows like "Heroes", "Glee" (Series 1) and "Harry and the Hendersons" and bands like Twisted Sister and Def Leppard. On this week's Bodacious Horror Podcast, your hieroglyphic hosts Gill & Roscoe "wrap" their first 100 hours of programming by discussing 2 movies involving terrors from Ancient Egypt. First up is the cult smash hit "Bubba Ho-Tep" from 2002, starring Bruce Campbell as the King of Rock 'n' Roll himself, Elvis Presley, in a residential home face-off with the living dead. Following on from this, we discuss 1932's "The Mummy", directed by Karl Freund and starring the immortal Boris Karloff, with a particular focus on the supplemental and supplementary features on the Universal Monsters Blu-Ray boxed set. Along the way, your ambling ankh-ors discuss "Gravity", "Paranormal Activity", Alvin Stardust and much, much more. We also launch our very own app.

This week, those rambunctious roasters Gill & Roscoe are going off the radar to discuss Universal's sci-fi masterpiece, "The Invisible Man" (1933). Under normal circumstances, we'd take that an excuse for taste and decency to 'disappear', but this week it is our great privilege to be joined by a true expert on the James Whale and Claude Rains classic - world-leading horror historian Gregory W. Mank. Greg shares some stories about the production from his new MagicImage book "The Invisible Man", while regaling us with tales from his original research into all things classic horror, including discussion of interviews with David Manners, Zita Johann, Valerie Hobson, Marilyn Harris and many more!
